STARK GOP TO RECOMMEND CANDIDATES FOR THE VACANCY ON THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS, GENERAL DIVISION

The Stark County Republican Party Executive Committee will meet on September 20^th at 5:30PM at Malone University’s Johnson Center 2600 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton, Ohio 44709.  The purpose of this meeting is to recommend a list of three individuals to the Governor of Ohio to fill the soon to be vacated seat of Judge, Court of Common Pleas General Division.  Judge Charles Brown will retire effective October 31^st, 2012 at 12AM.  The Executive Committee will recommend three candidates to Governor John Kasich who will then appoint a new judge to fill the remainder of the term that ends December 31^st, 2014 at 12AM.

In order to be considered an applicant must be a registered voter and resident of Stark County.  Also, applicants must have been licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio for at least six years preceding the appointment. All eligible applicants who have applied to the Stark County Republican Party by the September 17^th deadline will be given an opportunity to address the Executive Committee.
