Stark State College Student Earns Environmental Scholarship

Jeffrey L. Sams, an environmental health and safety major at , has earned a $1,250 scholarship through Ohio EPA’s Environmental Education Fund.

“The scholarship program is designed to motivate students to enter environmentalfields of science and engineering and reward outstanding undergraduate students based on merit, enhancing their employment opportunities in environmental fields,” said Ohio EPA Director Scott Nally.

Sams, of Canton, is among 13 environmental science and engineering students to be awarded scholarships to study at Ohio colleges and universities and the only community college recipient.
