Stark State to hold Info Session for Oil and Gas Floor Hand Training Jobs

Persons interested in working in the oil and gas industry need floor hand training for almost all jobs.  Stark State College will hold a public information session to explain the hiring and training requirements needed for that position on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. in room N102 at Stark State’s Corporate Services and Continuing Education Center, 265 East Maple St., North Canton.   Attendees must register in advance for this session by calling 330-494-6170, Ext. 4289 or Ext. 4438.

In conjunction with ShaleNET, the College will offer a free two-week floor hand training course beginning Nov. 5 to those who qualify, based upon their attendance at the Oct. 11 information session.  Persons interested in the course must attend the information session to be eligible for the course.  Floor hands operate well drilling and service rigs, assist in the connection and disconnection of pipes and do general maintenance.
