Volunteer Coaches

Who we’re looking for:

  • Enthusiastic, dedicated, and positive women of all backgrounds
  • Those who run AND those who do not run
  • Women who are committed to empowering girls with valuable life lessonsΒ
  • Women with a sincere interest in leading a healthy lifestyle
  • Women with a sincere desire to help girls
  • overcome the many difficult issues they face

Coaching experience is not required!

How it works
You’ll meet once or twice a week for ten weeks with girls in
3rd through 5th grade (Girls on the Run) or 6th through 8th grade (Girls on Track). Programs can meet immediately after school or later in the evening. Each lesson is completely scripted out for you and includes a materials list (GOTR provides the supplies, snacks, & handouts).

Girls on the Run uses the power of running to help
prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy
living. It’s a place where participants learn how to celebrate being girls by building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health, while also training for a noncompetitive 5k run/walk event.
