Cliff Hobbs Celebrates 40 Years at AMETEK Solidstate Controls

After 40 years of service, Cliff Hobbs continues to be one of the most dedicated employees at AMETEK Solidstate Controls, Inc. (SCI), a leader in highly customized uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). Cliff began his career at SCI as a sub-assembler and quickly moved up to become one of the most dependable employees in the electrical wiring department.

From day one, Hobbs made a mark in the product development process and his attention to detail, eagerness to learn and continued involvement still show every day. Shortly after promotion to the wire department, he became a team leader and eventually a custom wireman. At the present time, Hobbs is employed as a Final Assembly Project Coordinator.

Hobbs’s influence and motivation have played a significant role in the process improvements and the evolution of all SCI product lines. He has traveled the globe with the field service group, utilizing his experience to maintain and repair equipment. Hobbs has also been part of creating many strategic operations protocols and team development processes.
