Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care Invites Volunteers to Help Make A Difference

Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking compassionate volunteers throughout the Northeast Ohio region to provide comfort, companionship and a helping hand to terminally-ill patients and their families in their homes, in assisted living facilities and nursing facilities.

In recognition of Veterans Day, Crossroads is offering a special invitation to those who have served in the military to volunteer and share their unique life experiences and help address the needs of hospice patients who are Veterans.

“For members of the armed forces and their loved ones, there are special opportunities to connect with veterans, whether you’re an ROTC cadet just beginning your journey, an active member of the military, a veteran who has served in Vietnam or the Gulf War alongside many of our patients, or the wife of a soldier looking for ways to show your support,” said Ashley Green, Volunteer Manager in Crossroads’ Northeast Ohio office.

Volunteers can donate as little as 45 minutes per week and share their favorite activities like reading, card games, playing music, or arts and crafts. Student volunteers are also welcome; they must be 16 years or older.
