Seen my jewels?
A woman called North Canton police on May 31 after expensive pieces of jewelry vanished from her bedroom.
According to the police report, the 80-year-old North Canton woman took off her watch and wedding band before going to sleep on May 30, and when she woke up in the morning, the jewelry was gone.
Estimated loss: $3,000.Β
Sticky Fingers
On May 31, an Acme Fresh Market security guard watched a suspected thief stuff several items inside her purse and walk toward the door.Β
As the 43-year-old Canton woman tried to leave the grocery, she was stopped by security and was asked to empty the contents of her purse. The handbag contained protein bars, blueberry pie, mouthwash and spray-on soap.Β
She was arrested and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal trespassing, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.Β
Smash and grab
A woman lost her purseΒ after a thief reportedly smashed her driver's side window in the 6200 block of Whipple Avenue on May 2.
