"Mom Jeans". This spoof commercial aired on SNL ten years ago. At that time, I was a high schooler, determined that I'd never succumb to such a tragic fashion sense. A lot can happen in a decade. I looked in the mirror, realizing that I'd become the stereotype. The price is more important than the fit and the higher the neckline, the better (turtlenecks, anyone?). The more skin covered, the better.
The first step to correcting any problem is recognition that it IS a problem. So here I stand (well, sit) admitting my problem - I Busy Mom have a fashion problem.
Raising a family is expensive and the first things to go are the non-essentials, fashion was my non-essential. Good news though! Because of my partnership with Pink Zebra, I can now make myself a priority. I will regain confidence in my looks.
