"Mom Jeans". Β This spoof commercial aired on SNL ten years ago. Β At that time, I was a high schooler, determined that I'd never succumb to such a tragic fashion sense. Β A lot can happen in a decade. Β I looked in the mirror, realizing that I'd become the stereotype. Β The price is more important than theΒ fit and the higher the neckline, the better (turtlenecks, anyone?). Β The more skin covered, the better.Β
The first step to correcting any problem is recognition that it IS a problem. Β So here I stand (well, sit) admitting my problem - I Busy Mom have a fashion problem.
Raising a family is expensive and the first things to go are the non-essentials, fashion was my non-essential. Β Good news though! Β Because ofΒ my partnershipΒ with Pink Zebra, I can now make myself a priority. Β I will regain confidence in my looks.
