Driver Threatens Woman, Child; Aimless Burglar; and Thief Caught in the Act: Crime Blotter
The following was supplied by the North Canton Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Caught in the Act
A 48-year-old Canton man strolled into Gabriel Brothers on June 11 and tried to slip out with $500 worth of merchandise.
When confronted by a security guard in the parking lot, the man dropped three pairs of stolen tennis shoes and a purse, then fled on foot.
Police tracked the man down, arrested him and charged him with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Time for ADT?
A burglar reportedly entered a man's home in the 100 block of Pershing Avenue NE on June 13 in search of something to steal, but apparently found nothing that piqued his interest as nothing was reported missing.Β
The burglar entered the house through a sliding glass door that was poorlyΒ locked with a tied hand towel. Not exactly the best security measure.
Road rage
Police are investigating a menacing incident in which a driver almost struck a woman and her small child in the parking lot of Ollie's Bargain Outlet.
When the woman yelled at the driver, the driver reportedly got out of his car and threatened the woman.Β
The woman relayed the man's license plate number to police, but the car didn't match the one she described.
The North Canton Detective Bureau is investigating the June 16 incident.Β
