Emergency Food Pantry Will Close on Holidays

Stark County Hunger Task Force announces closures on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and again on New Year's Day.

The Stark County Hunger Task Force's emergency pantry and offices in Canton will be closed on Christmas Eve and Day and again on New Year’s Day.

On New Year’s Eve, the facilities at the Community Campus at Goodwill, 408 9th St. SW in Canton, will operate on a reduced-hours schedule from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Beginning Jan 2 the pantry will return to its regular weekday hours: 9:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays; 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.

β€œThe board, staff and volunteers wish everyone a happy, safe and enjoyable holiday season,” said Ralph Norton, task force assistant director.

Founded in 1981, the Stark County Hunger Task Force feeds more than 22,000 individuals and families every month through more than 30 food pantries, β€œBackpacks for Kids” programs, an emergency pantry and mobile pantry services.
