36th Annual North Canton YCMA July 4th Race

This will be the 36th Annual July 4th Race at the North Canton YMCA.  

There is a 2-mile walk/run & a 5-mile race and a FREE Kids' "Firecracker Dash" (6 and under).  

The North Canton YMCA July 4th Race is one of the major July 4th holiday events in the state of Ohio.   Regardless of your fitness level, please join us in the 2-Mile run/walk or compete in the Subway Challenge Series Elite 5-Mile event.   The 2 mile event begins at 8:10AM and the 5 mile begins at 8:30AM.   Runners may also choose to participate in both events for an extra fee of $7.00.  All proceeds benefit the North Canton YMCA Strong Kids Campaign & our Physically Challenged Program.    

Kids Firecracker Dash

• Event starts at 7:45AM.


• Ages 6 and under run approximately 75 yards.


• Sign-up on paper form or during Packet Pick-up July 3 from 8:00AM to 8:00PM & July 4 starting  

    at 7:15AM.

• No fee.

Family Registrations:

• Family Eligibility:  Mother, Father and their dependent children age 23 or below!


• To register a family, you must create a "family team".


• Select "Create a Family-Parent children age 23 or below Team".


• Next screen, type in the name of your Family Team; e.g., Smith.


• After entering the first family member, you will see a screen that says:  "You have not reached the

    minimum size to check out."  Minimum family members are 4; maximum family members are 9.

• Click Add a Member and continue in this manner until all are added.


• Family Team confirmations will not show information for each family member registered due to

    the way rsracingsystems.com has been designed.

Awards will be given to the top three overall male & females in each event, top three finishers in each age group in both events, and the top three masters (40 & over) in the 5 mile event only.  Age Groups 2 Mile Men/Women: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 & Over.  Age Groups 5 Mile Men/Women: 1-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 & Over.     

Short Sleeve Dri-Fit Race T-Shirts:

• T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered by June 30.


• Mens Sizes:  S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL


• Womens Sizes:  S, M, L, XL, XXXL  (Womens' sizes tend to run smaller.)


• Youth Sizes:  S, M, L

Packet Pick-Up:

• Wed., July 3, from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and Race Day starting at 6:45am.


• Race T-shirts are guaranteed to runners registered by June 30.  All others are subject to the

    quantity and sizes available.

Course Protection:  5 Mile course is part of the Subway Challenge Series and is protected for 90 minutes.
