The community is invited to attend a historical lecture on The Music of the American Civil War presented by M.J. Albacete, executive director of the Canton Museum of Art. The audience will be treated to selections that reflect the exhilaration of anticipating a “glorious” engagement, humor in the camps, missing loved ones at home, the tragedy of death, the slave experience, victory and defeat and the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
