Buried Letter Press is, according to its website, “A publication created for celebrating and promoting art in all its odd/brilliant extensions, a place to get rowdy, to encourage deep, rich lives, and to engage in tomfoolery of all sorts.”  Topics range from poetry to creative nonfiction to reviews of current works.  The editing staff is currently based out of the Akron/Canton area, but has recently opened its pages for submissions from writers all over the country.

“We hope to bring these performances to the people regularly,” says Matt Mackey.  “It’s important for art to be out there, in the public eye, to create a consciousness beyond our daily lives.”
