Tetelestai: A contemporary musical portrayal of The Trial, Execution and Resurrection of Jesus the Messiah
Each year, thousands of people head to local venues to experience the musical passion play βTetΓ©lestai.βΒ
Over the past 35 years, attending a performance has become a cherished tradition for many northeastern Ohioans as they prepare for the Easter holiday.Β TetΓ©lestaiβs dramatic stage production and timeless music bring the story of Jesusβ trial, execution and resurrection to life in a visual way that leaves a lasting impression.Β Faithful audience members see the play as a way of enhancing the services presented by their own churches.
The word TetΓ©lestai means βIt is finished,β the last words of Jesus as he died on the cross.Β The volunteer cast and crew devote four months each year to rehearsals and performances.Β
The play lasts approximately two hours with a short intermission.Β A reception follows each performance and
affords an opportunity for the audience to meet and mingle with the cast and crew. Doors open one hour before the performance.Β There is no admission charge, however free
will offerings will be welcomed at the end of each performance.
