Girls on the Run of Stark County Announces Coach of the Year Nominees

Girls on the Run of Stark County has created a new Coach of the Year Award.

Girls on the Run of Stark County’s coaches are dedicated to empowering girls. Without their incredible abilities, GOTR Stark would never have been able to reach over 1,000 girls since they started in 2010. To show their sincere gratitude for their coaches, GOTR Stark has created the Coach of the Year Award.

Girls from throughout Stark County submitted nominations for their coaches in the form of persuasive essays and creative illustrations. The Top 5 finalists were selected based on the persuasiveness and creativity of the nominations their GOTR girls created.

GOTR Stark will announce the Coach of the Year at their annual Fall Festival on October 24th at Fieldcrest Estate. The annual fundraiser will include a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and raffle auction with the theme ”Inspire her masterpiece”—a call to empower every girl so she can boldly & freely chase her dreams as the foundation of her unique masterpiece that is her life.

Girls on the Run of Stark County (GOTR Stark) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit offering physical activity based positive youth development (PA-PYD) programs that inspire girls in 3rd through 5th grade (Girls on the Run) and 6th through 8th grade (Heart & Sole, formerly Girls on Track) to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.
