North Canton, OH - November, 7 2013 - IFBB Pro Ashley Kaltwasser recently returned from Pune, India, where she was named the Bikini Champion of the Sheru Classic Professional Championships, Asia's largest sports festival and bodybuilding competition. Kaltwasser, who competed against 8 top bikini pros from across the world, brings home this honor just weeks after winning the title of 2013 Bikini Olympia Champion at the Olympia Fitness and Performance Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both wins have garnered her over $30,000 in prize money and international acclaim.
Kaltwasser has been training with Summer Montabone, CSCS, and the staff at Summer's Fitness, as well as Team VIP (Very Impressive Physique) division since beginning her amateur career. "Ashley is a champion in more ways than one,” says Montabone, a retired IFBB Fitness Pro. “She is humble, appreciative, and knows who she is. She handles herself like a gracious champion. She values her journey as a learning experience and is thankful for each opportunity. Kaltwasser, a former high school and collegiate track star, entered her first amateur competition in 2011, and quickly rose through the ranks of bikini competitors, turning pro in 2012. Her pro resume is impressive; this year alone it includes top 2 finishes in 5 shows. Other career highlights include 1st Class D and Overall Bikini Champion at the IFBB Team Universe Championships, 1st Class D and Overall Champion at the Arnold Amateur, and winner of the Rockstar Bikini Contest. In addition, Kaltwasser graces the cover of Fitness RX Magazine's December 2013 issue, and has been featured in layouts within the magazine, as well as on FitnessRxWomen.com, where she writes a column called "Keep it Fresh."
