"Journey Stories" Exhibit

The Smithsonian is coming! The North Canton Heritage Society will host "Journey Stories," an exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution's Museums on Main Street program from September 24 through October 31. The interactive exhibit includes tales of how we all got here, from Native Americans to recent immigrants who arrive by jet plane. The Heritage Society, in conjunction with the North Canton Public Library, will present a series of local programs during the month the exhibit will be here, as well as companion exhibits of photos from the Society's collection and an art exhibit depicting journeys from the NCPL's Little Art Gallery's permanent collection.Β  The exhibit will be available the open hours of the Society, 9 until noon weekdays, plus special Saturday hours of 1-4 p.m.Β  The Society is one of 8 sites in Ohio to host the exhibit, sponsored by the Ohio Humanities Council.Β  The Ada & Helen Rank Foundation has funded part of the Heritage Society's participation.
