The Junior League of Stark County launches Service Grant for female youth
Two grants of up to $2500 to be awarded

Canton, Ohio- The Junior League of Stark County, Ohio, Inc. has announced the creation of the Junior Leaders Community Service Grant. This grant will fund service projects led by girls in grades K-12. Two grants of up to $2,500 will be awarded. League President Cara Beisert explained, “This unique grant was developed out of an understanding that females are underrepresented in leadership roles in the United States.” The Junior League of Stark County hopes this grant will help develop leadership skills in Stark County females while at the same time providing service to the community.
Grant Coordinator Megan Pellegrino said application materials can be found at www.jlstarkcounty.org under the “In Action” tab and are due by January 31, 2015 to Junior League headquarters. Questions can be directed to Megan at MeganLPellegrino@gmail.com with “Junior Leaders” in the subject line.
