  • Adopted two families for Christmas.
  • Helped with tutoring at Greentown Intermediate School.
  • Pledged money to the Orchard Hill Intermediate School PTA's fall fundraiser.
  • Collected used glasses for donation to missions in Central America.

Ferris said the club also participates in North Canton's Main Street Festival and the community Fall Festival, plans the Memorial Day Parade and conducts fundraisers, including two annual craft shows and selling roses.

β€œThe profits from these events help to fund our activities. The money that remains each year has been placed in a special project fund. After many years of saving, we have this money to present to the North Canton Schools ... It is our hope that this equipment will be used to enhance learning in the classrooms,” Ferris explained.

The North Canton Lions Club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Chicken Manor. New members are always welcome. For more information email Ferris at jferris@neo.rr.com.
