Police Conduct Death Investigation at Rotary Park
The following information was supplied by the North Canton Police Department.
On May 7, the North Canton Police Department said a man shot himself in the head in the North Canton Rotary Park at 904 Applegrove St. NW.
Police said they received a call from someone saying they heard two gunshots coming from the park.
"Once inside the park an officer saw a man sitting at a picnic table. When the officer tried to speak with him the man produced a gun and shot himself in the head," police said in a prepared statement.

North Canton Fire/EMS responded and the Stark County Coroner pronounced him dead as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
