RESERVATIONS AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER GARDEN TEA

Hoover Herb Society Taking Reservations for
15th Annual Summer Garden TeaΒ Β Β 
Members of The Herb Society at the Hoover Historical Center will present their 15th annual "Summer Garden Tea" fund-raiser on Sunday, July 14 in the Hoover Banquet Hall inside Walsh University's Hoover Park. Accompanied with a "Unique Boutique," doors will be open for shopping and seating at 12:00 p.m. Tea will be served at 1:00 p.m.
The advance paid $20 reservation for a seat can be made at the Center through Monday, July 1, on a first-come, first-served basis.Β  Following the Tea, a program on "The Language of Fans" will be presented.Β  Sandee Havertys of Massillon is serving as event chairman assisted by Mary Margaret Cairns of Dellroy. Members will transform the rustic Hall into a tea room of elegance with fresh floral arrangements throughout. China tea cups and saucers will be set upon floral linen tablecloths and lace toppers. Hot teaΒ will beΒ served from china tea pots and cold tea served in glass tea cups. The open view of the scenic parkΒ  complements the ambiance of the "Summer Garden Tea."
The menu will offer an assortment of herbal sweets and savories and is co-chaired by Cindy Maxim of North Canton and Shirley Hayley of Carrollton.
"Christmas in July" will be an additional feture in this year's "Unique Boutique." It will also hold the traditional variety of plants from members' gardens, garden materials, a "bath shop" and "kitchen cupboard" along with a library of periodicals andΒ garden books for purchase. AΒ Chinese raffleΒ for themed gift baskets will also be held along with a door prize drawing.Β The Boutique is chaired by Patti Gibson of Uniontown with Sue Clough of CantonΒ assisting.
The afternoon wil lbe completed with guided tours of the herb gardens. Members of The Herb Society minister the gardens that complement the Hoover Historical Center grounds.
