Stark Food Pantry Closed Labor Day
Stark County Hunger Task Force pantry closes for Labor Day.

NORTH CANTON, OH - From the Stark County Hunger Task Force: Stark County Hunger Task Force (SCHTF) officials announce the emergency pantry at 408 9th St. will close Monday in observance of Labor Day.
The pantry in the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill will return to the regular schedule Sept. 5 at 9:15 a.m. Pantry Hours: Mondays, 9:15 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.; Tuesdays, 9:15 a.m. to 2:35 p.m., Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m. to 3:35 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays, 9:15 a.m. to 1:35 p.m.
Time tickets for the pantry are distributed by the Goodwill receptionists daily on a first-come, first-served basis.

Statistics show the county’s overall food insecurity rate stands at nearly 15 percent, amounting to nearly 56,000 Stark County neighbors facing empty cupboards and iceboxes, and alarmingly, more than one in four children go hungry.
Founded in 1981, Stark County Hunger Task Force at 408 9th St. SW, Canton, leads the battle against hunger in Stark County. Operating almost entirely on donations, SCHTF provides free groceries to over 29,000 individuals every month through more than 30 food pantries, “Backpacks for Kids” programs and an emergency pantry.
