The Crucible - An Opera

Kent State University at Stark Theatre is proud to present a special collaborative event, The Crucible, an opera adaptation of the play by Arthur Miller, with libretto by Bernard Stambler and music by Robert Ward. The performances feature the talents of Kent State University faculty and students, as well as guest artists.

An unfaithful husband’s life turns tragic in this operatic version of an American classic that examines justice, honor and courage. He finds himself fighting against a monstrous political and religious β€œwitch hunt” and is forced to face his past and reconcile his actions before the power of the court. For mature audiences only due to mature content.

American Sign Language interpretation will be provided at the Sunday, June 9 performance.
