Where/When: Hartville Market Place, 1289 Edison St. NW, Hartville; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and then the following Monday (Sept. 5)
Why Go: Join thousands of shoppers over the weekend and check out some outdoor vendors!

2. STARK COUNTY FAIR

Where/When: Stark County Fairgrounds, 305 Wertz Ave. NW, Canton; 
Why Go: No. 1, fair food. No. 2, barnyard animals. No. 3, rides. Do we need to go on?
Pricing: Find an event schedule and daily admission rates at the fair's website.

3. CARLOS JONES AND THE P.L.U.S. BAND

Where/When: The Auricle, 601 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton; 9 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Check out some new music in a nice and cozy venue. And if you're feeling up to it, stick around for the dance party after the show.
Pricing: $6 in advance and $8 at the door. Those under 21 pay a $2 surcharge at the door.

4. MADE IN OHIO CRAFT FESTIVAL

Where/When: Hale Farm & Village, 2686 Oak Hill Road, Bath; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Check out a wide variety of jewelry, talk to potters and artists specializing in glass. Lots of food to fill up on, too!
