Why Go: The Hitmen will celebrate being named the No. 1 local band in the Akron “Beacon’s Best” contest, the next-day’s Ohio State-UofM football game, big renovations at Puckers and an end to the Black Friday shopping day. (Plus, they might even sing a Pink song they've been working on.)

Why Go: Join Santa for breakfast in a wintry wonderland. Activities include horse-drawn sleigh rides, coloring contests, cookies by the fire, writing a letter to Santa and storytelling.

5. ALIVE IN STANDBY AT THE AURICLE LIVE MUSIC VENUE

Where/When: The Auricle, 601 Cleveland Ave. NW; 7:30 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Looking for a place to see lots of bands on the cheap? There's the Auricle in Canton. On Friday you can find all these bands under one roof: Alive In Standby, Shadow’s Claim, Asleep In The Chapel, Oh Tear The Veil, Fracture The Acrchaty and Poveglia.
Cost: Advanced tickets are $7 for all ages, while those under 21 pay a $2 surcharge at door
