• Kaptur Applauds $280,000 Federal Investment in Owens Community College (house.gov) — Owens Community College in Perrysburg is receiving a $280,000 U.S. Department of Education grant to expand its TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, which helps adults and veterans start or return to college. The funding will let the program grow from serving 850 to 1,000 people annually, offering free application help, career counseling, and support across northwest Ohio.
   

• Owens Community College seeing sizeable increase in need at its food pantry (13abc.com) — Owens Community College in Perrysburg is seeing a sharp rise in students relying on its Owens Harvest Food Pantry, with monthly visits now reaching up to 700–800 people. Staff are expanding support beyond groceries, connecting students to help with utilities, transportation, and social services, and a new grant-funded cooler will let them safely share leftover food from campus events.
   

• Kaptur vs. Merrin: What voters should know about Ohio's 9th Congressional District race (wkyc.com) — Perrysburg voters are now firmly inside Ohio's redrawn 9th Congressional District, which stretches across northwest Ohio and includes much of Wood County. The race between Democrat Marcy Kaptur and Republican Derek Merrin is expected to be highly competitive, with control of the U.S. House potentially at stake and both candidates outlining sharply different priorities on the economy, health care, immigration, and abortion.
