• Avina Women's Care reaches deal to stay in UnitedHealthcare network (nbc4i.com) — If you see Avina Women's Care providers in Powell and have UnitedHealthcare through an employer plan, your in-network access is staying in place after a last-minute multiyear agreement. The deal averts potential disruptions for OB-GYN and primary care patients whose pregnancies, procedures, or ongoing treatments might have stretched past the contract deadline across Avina's central Ohio offices.
   

• Columbus Zoo unveils new centennial logo (delgazette.com) — Powell residents will see the Columbus Zoo, located in their backyard, roll out a new "100 Years Wild" centennial logo as it gears up for a yearlong 100th-birthday celebration in 2027. Special events will include a centennial-themed Wildlights show, a RendeZOO fundraiser, and a big anniversary weekend, with more community activities and stories promised in the coming months.
   

• Prosecutors, defense give opening statements in trial of accused rapist Gary Keesee Jr. (abc6onyourside.com) — Powell residents connected with Faith Life Church should know that a former church media leader is on trial in Knox County, facing multiple charges related to alleged abuse of underage girls. While prosecutors say there's no evidence incidents occurred on church grounds, testimony and legal arguments could still affect perceptions of the church, which opened a Powell location in 2020 and remains in operation.
