11th Annual Gracious Gardens of Shaker Heights

The Shaker Historical Society is hosting its 11th Annual Gracious Gardens of Shaker Heights weekend June 20-21st. The highly popular Father’s Day weekend event attracts more than 1,000 people from across the region. The Saturday evening Twilight in the Garden Party is held at a private historic home with superb architecture and gardens. On Sunday, there is a tour of beautiful neighborhood gardens – all designs and sizes – within the city of Shaker Heights.

As part of the Gracious Gardens weekend, there will be an admission-free, open-to-the-public Fair on the grounds of the museum at 16740 South Park Boulevard on Sunday, June 21st. The Fair features something for everyone - from kids to grandparents – including local vendors and crafts, lawn games, a scavenger hunt, museum mansion open house with a film showing the property when it was the private home of the Myers family ca. 1920, lemonade stand contest, and our 1917 American LaFrance fire truck.

The Gracious Gardens of Shaker Heights weekend is a major fundraiser that supports the Shaker Historical Society’s commitment to historic preservation, education and community engagement. Go to shakerhistory.org or call 216-921-1201 for information or online ticket sales.
