3 Homes Broken Into In Shaker Heights Tuesday
Nothing says holiday season like someone getting into your home and stealing your personal property.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — There were three burglaries reported on Tuesday, according to police records obtained by Patch. In each case, someone broke into a home, but in only two of the cases was something actually taken.
The incidents came amid a busy early week for Shaker Heights cops that saw them dealing with multiple robberies and stolen cars. The burglaries took place in the same general vicinity and Patch has mapped out the location of the three incidents below.

Robbery, Dec. 18 — At about 6:05 a.m., a Cleveland resident at the Center for Dialysis Care, located on Chagrin Boulevard, was approached by two men, one of whom was displaying a handgun. The men demanded the Clevelander's 2014 silver, Toyota RAV4. No one was hurt during the incident. Police later recovered the stolen car in Cleveland.
Robbery, Dec. 18 — Five minutes later, at 6:10 a.m., a resident on Chagrin Boulevard reported they were robbed by two men, both displaying handguns. The suspects got away with the resident's personal property.

Grand Theft Auto, Dec. 18 — Someone stole a 2005 white Honda CRV on Monday afternoon. The vehicle was at the BP/711 store on Chagrin Boulevard and had been left unattended, with the keys in the ignition. The car's license plate reads EOZ8948.
Robbery, Dec. 19 — A man with a handgun confronted a Shaker Heights resident on Tuesday, stealing the resident's cell phone and electronic equipment. Police say the robbery took place near a bus stop in the 12000 block of Fairhill Road.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, Dec. 19 — Someone stole the temporary license placard from a car at the Shaker Medical Building in the 3000 block of Warrensville Center Rd. The license reads F652813.
Burglary, Dec. 19 — Shaker Heights cops saw damage on a locked home on Normandy Road. They investigated and found that someone had gotten into the home. Nothing was reported stolen, police say.
Burglary, Dec. 19 — A resident in the 3000 block of Sudbury Road found that someone had broken into their locked home and stolen personal property.
Theft, Dec. 19 — A red and black Schwinn bicycle were stolen in the 19000 block of Van Aken Boulevard by an unidentified suspect. Police say someone also damaged another bicycle that had been locked in an underground garage.
Grand Theft Auto, Dec. 19 — A 2013 black Chevrolet Equinox was stolen on Tuesday night. The vehicle was left unattended, unlocked and running in a driveway in the 3000 block of Avalon Road. The car has a license plate that reads FZS2570.
Burglary, Dec. 19 — Police were called to the 3000 block of Ingleside Road where a resident reported that someone got into their locked house and stole property.
