3 Unlocked Homes Burgled On Wednesday In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Three homes were burgled on Wednesday in Shaker Heights. All of the homes were unlocked, but all had property or equipment stolen. A map of the thefts is at the bottom of this article.

Grand Theft Auto, May 28 — Police arrested a 17-year-old Clevelander who allegedly stole a car in the 15000 block of Van Aken Boulevard.

License Plate Theft, May 29 — License plates were stolen off a resident's car. The theft happened at about 7:50 a.m.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, May 29 — A bicycle was stolen from the roof of a car, which was parked in a resident's driveway.

Shoplifting, May 30 — Police detained a 39-year-old Cleveland woman who is suspected of stealing supplies from the Dollar Tree Store in the 17000 block of Chagrin Boulevard.

Burglary, May 30 — Someone stole property from an unlocked home in the 3000 block of Traynham Road. The theft was discovered at about 3:15 p.m.

Burglary, May 30 — Also on Wednesday, a resident in the 3000 block of Maynard Road reported that someone stole property from their unlocked home. The theft was discovered at about 7 p.m.

Burglary, May 30 — A third theft from an unlocked home was discovered about about 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. A contractor told police that equipment was stolen from a home that he was working in and left unlocked.
