Thieves Target Unlocked Cars In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Over the past week there have been numerous thefts from unlocked cars throughout Shaker Heights. Police said they have arrested one suspect, but are asking the public to contact them if they see anything suspicious.

Six cars were entered between Wednesday and Thursday. Most vehicles had property and cash stolen during the nighttime hours. One car had its license plate stolen. That license plates reads "FZD8547."

Nearly all of the cars were left unlocked overnight. The thefts happened on Drexmore Road, South Woodland Road, Latimore Road, Endicott Road, Braemar Road, and Holbrook Road.

"Though we have arrested someone involved with these crimes, please do not hesitate to call us if you see any suspicious activity! Our officers are eager to keep criminals out of our neighborhoods," the Shaker Heights Police Department said on Facebook.
