Young Audiences’ ArtWorks offers paid apprenticeships in the arts
Young Audiences ArtWorks program plans to hire 40 teens in grades 10-12 to work as arts apprentices. Applications are available at www.yaneo.org/artworks/ and click on ArtWorks Afterschool.

ArtWorks Afterschool is a youth development program for high school students designed to strengthen college and career readiness through the arts. Apprentices learn 21st Century job skills such as time and project management, collaboration, professional communication, problem solving, and critical thinking through the creation of original art working with professional teaching artists. Apprentices work toward the completion of a final product in the art form which is showcased at public performances and exhibits and are paid $7.70/hour for their work during the program, plus a $100 bonus for the successful completion of the program.
ArtWorks Afterschool is a commitment of two days per week from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2 through Dec. 20. The program will take place at the Halle Building, 1228 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland.

Students interested in applying are strongly encouraged to make sure all parts of their application are complete and received on time. No prior arts experience is necessary but teens should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Applications are due Tues., Sept. 4 at 4 p.m.
