Another Car Stolen From Shaker Heights Library Patron

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — For the second time in about a month, a resident visiting the library had their keys and then car stolen. On Saturday, a resident's 2009 Silver Hyundai Elantra was stolen while they visited Shaker Heights Public Library.

On April 28, a resident was visiting the library when someone stole her car keys. The woman's car, a 2010 Honda CRV was then stolen from the parking lot. However, police were able to identify a suspect and recover the car.

Shoplifting, May 21 — The owner of Shaker Quality Foods called police and said a woman may have stolen merchandise from his grocery store.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, May 23 — Someone stole personal property out of an unlocked car parked in the 3000 block of Menlo Road. The owner of the car discovered the theft and called police at about 3 p.m.

License Plate Theft, May 23 — Temporary Ohio license placards were stolen off a car parked in the 2000 block of North Moreland Road last Wednesday. The placards read #G33899.

Shoplifting, May 24 — Police officers were called to the BP Gas Station for reports of a man stealing merchandise from the store.

Grand Theft Auto, May 26 — Someone stole a resident's car on Saturday. The resident was visiting Shaker Heights public library when someone stole their car keys and then stole their 2009 Silver Hyundai Elantra, with the license plate #GKZ2705.
