ATV Stolen When Craigslist Buy Goes Bad: Shaker Heights Police Blotter

A Pennsylvania man looking to sell his ATV got ripped off when the buyer asked for a test drive and never brought the vehicle back.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - This weekend was slow for Shaker Heights police.

Oct. 21 - A juvenile resident reported that someone stole their bicycle. The bike was left unattended and unlocked near a fence at Shaker Heights High School, 15911 Aldersyde Dr.

Oct. 22 - A Shaker Heights resident reported that three unknown men entered their locked home on Keswick Road and stole electronics and other personal property. The resident reported the theft at 11:40 a.m.

Oct. 20 - At 11:51 am, Shaker Heights police officers responded to FirstMerit Bank, Lee Road, where a male suspect had robbed the bank of more than $900 and fled the scene. Officers apprehended the 43-year-old male suspect in the 15000 block of Kinsman Rd. (16-32752)

Oct. 20 - A Craigslist buy went bad on Thursday. A Greenville, Pennsylvania man reported that a man who had agreed to purchase an ATV requested a test drive of the vehicle. The suspect then stole the ATV, riding off with it.

Oct. 20 - A Fairhill Road resident reported that an unknown suspect(s) stole their motor vehicle. The vehicle was recovered later in the evening in the City of Cleveland.
