Be A Cheerleader For A Day In Shaker Heights

Students in grades K-8 are invited to join a daylong camp led by the Shaker Heights High School cheerleaders.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Students in grades K-8 who have an early affinity for pom poms and bubbly enthusiasm are invited to spend a day with the Shaker Heights High School cheerleaders. The youngsters will join the cheerleading crew on Sept. 15, a Friday, for a training session. Then, on Sept. 16, the campers can join the cheerleaders on the field for Red Raider Day.

The clinic on Sept. 15 will cost $30. For the cost of entry, campers get a T-shirt for Red Raider Day, a snack, and instruction on cheerleading. The clinic will run from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m.

Participants will then gather at the Multipurpose Room on Sept. 16 at 1:30 p.m. to start preparations for Red Raider Day. Campers will then join the cheerleaders during the second quarter of the game. Parents are asked to meet their children in the stands immediately after the cheering is completed.
