Are you too Busy at work?

Don't be too busy for your customers. Busy is not good business. Time management tips to manage and promote good employee morale and enhance customer service.

Time Management Tips (Beware! Busy is not good Business.)

In today's information age, it's easy to get bogged down in details. Sometimes we multi-task and forget the customer. Be mindful of unanswered phones and emails that just sit, because it's easy to slip into a state of 'busy' without being conscious of customers waiting or phones ringing. Customers DO notice. Attitude is everything and in today's competitive environment, no one can stand to lose just one customer! To a busy over-worked employee, phones, e-mails, walk-in customers all become interruptions and noise. Take short breaks to clear your mind throughout the day. A breath of fresh air does wonders. To promote good morale in your workplace, don't let staff skip breaks and/or eat lunch at their desk. In the long run, you may lose customers due to the inability to have enough energy to provide good customer service late in the day.

Just because people look and act busy, does not mean they're effective. Pace yourself so you end the day with good energy. Don't overload the morning so the afternoon work load is impossible. Good time management can yield good customer service too.
