Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center Wins Practice Greenhealth Partner for Change Award
Cleveland Clinic recently recognized Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center which received the Partner for Change Award.
Cleveland Clinic recently recognized 26 of its facilities that earned a Practice Greenhealth Environmental Excellent Award. This included Cleveland Clinic Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center which received the Partner for Change Award. This award recognizes health care facilities that have established environmental programs and are working toward sustainability and can report success in a number of areas. Facilities must have at least a 15% recycling rate, have significantly reduced or eliminated mercury and have made progress towards becoming sustainable.
Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center participated in Beachwood City School’s Green Dream program for a third year. The annual Green Dream Eco-Expo attracted more than 4,500 attendees. Organized by Beachwood High School’s marketing education Junior Achievement class with support from the City of Beachwood, The Green Dream is recognized as Ohio’s largest green business fair. Beachwood Family Health and Surgery Center also sponsored its first Farmer's Market, connecting the Beachwood community to local farmers and healthy living.
Cleveland Clinic as an enterprise won the Practice Greenhealth Environmental Leadership Award, for the fourth straight year. This is the most prestigious environmental achievement award presented by Practice Greenhealth and it recognizes healthcare facilities that exemplify environmental excellence and are setting the highest standards for environmental practices in health care.
