Friends of the Shaker Library Sponsors Its Spring Book Sale April 18 - April 21

Friends of the Shaker Library sponsors its Spring Book Sale April 18 through April 21 on the second floor of Shaker Library, located at 16500 Van Aken Boulevard. The sale begins with a Preview Night for Friends from 4  to 8 pm Thursday, April 18. If you are not a Friend, you can join at the door for a small fee. The sale continues from 9 am to 4 pm Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20, and ends with a Bag Sale from 1 to 4 pm Sunday, April 21 when all bags of books cost $5 and "specials" are half price.

Much work goes on behind the scenes to make the Friends Book Sale so organized and well run.  Every week, a wonderful cadre of volunteers sorts donated books and packs them into boxes by categories. When it comes time for the sale, generous volunteers unpack the boxes and place them in categories on tables.

Friends of the Shaker Library has set bountiful tables of books that await your  perusal and purchase, and Friends accepts cash, checks, and now credit cards.
