Break-In At Shaker Quality Foods, Currency Taken
Police said someone pried open a side door at the building and got inside.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Someone broke into Shaker Quality Foods on early Monday morning. The suspect stole currency from the store after prying open a front-side door, Shaker Heights Police told Patch. It was the second time someone tried to break into the store in about 24 hours.
The burglary happened after someone tried and failed to break-into into Shaker Quality Foods on Lee Road on Sunday morning. Police believe the two incidents may be connected, Commander John Cole told Patch. "Someone wanted to do this," he said.
At about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, an alarm went off at Shaker Quality Foods. Officers rushed to the scene and discovered that someone had attempted to break into the store. The building had been locked and the suspect had taken off without getting inside.

A day later, at about 2:15 a.m., another alarm went off at Shaker Quality Foods. Investigators got to the scene and discovered that, this time, someone had gotten into the building. A machine had been tampered with and currency was taken from the store.
Investigators have several leads on the break-in, including video footage of the incidents. Police would not say if they think more than one person is involved in the crime, saying only that "at least one person" was involved.
