Buckeye Credit Union Nearly Robbed In Shaker Heights

Three armed men entered the credit union and held bank employees at gunpoint.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - The Buckeye State Credit Union on Chagrin Boulevard was part of an attempted robbery Monday at about 10:05 a.m.

The Cleveland FBI says three male suspects entered the bank and each was armed with a handgun. One suspect jumped the teller counter, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. The employee tried to dispense money from a machine, but no more money would dispense. A second suspect then pulled another employee out of their office, dragged them to the teller counter at gunpoint, and forced them to try and get money out of the machine. The second attempt was unsuccessful.

The third suspect remained on the customer side of the counter and watched the customers in the bank.
