Burglary Suspect Flees Shaker, Arrested Later

The suspect was spotted entering a Shaker Heights home. He fled the city and was later arrested in Cleveland.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — A burglary suspect was spotted in the middle of his crime, fled the city, and got himself arrested in Cleveland. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the past week.

Theft, June 2 - An unsecured bicycle was stolen from an open, communal garage in the 18000 block of Van Aken Boulevard.

Burglary, June 3 - An unidentified male suspect broke into a home in the 18000 block of Lomond Boulevard. He was spotted by witnesses before fleeing in a motor vehicle. The vehicle was ID'd by witnesses and the vehicle was located in Cleveland. A 48-year-old male suspect was arrested.

Possession of Stolen Good, June 4 - Shaker Heights Police detained a 20-year-old Cleveland resident who was seen with goods stolen from Heinen's. The man was detained in the 16000 block of Chagrin Boulevard.

Theft, June 4 - Someone entered a locked storage locker and stole personal property. Police say the theft occurred in the 14000 block of South Woodland Road.
