Car Stolen In Shaker Heights

Police say gold Dodge Stratus was stolen from a residence on Van Aken Boulevard.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Police are searching for a variety of dangerous thieves in Shaker Heights. Two armed muggings occurred on April 12 and a locked car was stolen on April 10. Read more on the incidents below.

Motor Vehicle Theft, April 10 - A 1998 gold 4-door Dodge Stratus was stolen from a residence in the 2000 block of Van Aken Boulevard. The car has the license plate #GZL4530. The car was locked at the time of the theft.

Theft, April 11 - A bicycle was stolen from an unsecured multi-unit home on Fairhill Road.

Theft, April 12 - Someone entered an unlocked car in the 18000 block of Chagrin Boulevard and stole a laptop and wallet. Police say the theft occurred during the nightttime hours.

Theft, April 12 - Two residents had their cell phones stolen by an armed suspect at about 3:30 p.m. The suspect wore a red hooded sweatshirt and approached the residents as the left a convenience store on Lee Road. The suspect demanded the cell phones while displaying a handgun in the waistband of his jeans. The suspect took the phones and ran off.

Theft, April 12 - An armed suspect approached a resident on Fairhill Road and demanded the resident hand over his belonging. The resident was getting out of his car when the suspect ran up brandishing a gun. The suspect took the resident's cell phone and electronics and then ran off.
