Car Stolen From Unlocked Garage In Shaker Heights

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Shaker Heights Police are investigating a series of thefts from unlocked cars, including two incidents that took place on the same block of Winchell Road this week. Additionally, investigators are trying to track down a car that was stolen from a resident's garage.

Theft, September 24 — Police are investigating a theft from an unlocked car parked in the 3000 block of Winchell Road. Personal property was taken from the vehicle, and the theft was discovered at about 11 a.m. on Monday morning.

Theft, September 24 — Equipment was taken from the Boston Market on Chagrin Boulevard, the restaurant's manager told police. The equipment was kept in an unlocked area. The theft was reported at 10 p.m. on Monday night.

Grand Theft Auto, September 25 — Someone stole a blue/grey Toyota Corolla from a resident on Sutton Place. The car was parked in an unlocked garage. The car's license plate reads #TOY4319

Theft, September 26 — Clothing and electronics were taken from an unlocked car parking in the 3000 block of Daleford Road. The theft was discovered at about 11 a.m.
