Construction Begins On New Fernway Elementary
Demolition is set to begin on the back of the building, as preparation is made for the new addition to the campus.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Construction on the new Fernway Elementary started on Tuesday, the Shaker Heights Schools announced.
The district said in an email that it expects work on the campus to be "substantially completed" by mid-May 2020. That means Fernway should re-open in August 2020, the school district said.
Over the next two weeks, crews will prepare the back of the building for demolition, to accommodate a new addition. On Friday, Gilbane Building Company's office trailer will be delivered to the site.
