Construction Starting on 3 Shaker Heights Streets Soon

Expect delays on Coventry, Parkland and Ingleside in the coming months.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH - Winter and construction season are mixing in Shaker Heights over the coming months. Residents can expect some delays in their travels about town, starting next week.

The Cleveland Water Department is replacing a waterline on three streets in the city. While the following timelines are approximate, Patch will keep you updated if there's a change in the construction schedule.

Currently, work is slated to begin Jan. 9 on Coventry Road between Shaker and Larchmere Boulevard. That portion of the project should conclude Jan. 20. Then on Jan. 31 Parkland, between Ingleside and Aldersyde, will undergo construction. That portion of the project is scheduled to end March 13.

Finally, in the spring, Ingleside, between Van Aken and Parkland, will undergo work. Dates for that portion of the project have not yet been announced.

During the construction, the city says that local access will be maintained. You may have to follow a detour, or try and avoid the construction area during certain points in the project.
