Customer Threatens Rite-Aid Worker, Demands Money: Shaker Police

Shaker Heights cops were able to detain the customer after they stole goods, police said.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Police were forced to detain a Michigan man that threatened a Rite Aid employee last Monday. The suspect reportedly demanded money from the staffer and then stole goods before police arrested him.

The incident happened a little before 9 p.m. on October 15. Police rushed to the Rite Aid on Chagrin Boulevard where they were able to arrest the 44-year-old Michigan man.

Property Damage, October 17 — Someone damaged the inside and outside of a locked rental storage vehicle on Wednesday night. Police said the vehicle was parked in the 3000 block of Warrensville Center Road.

Theft, October 18 — A cell phone was stolen from a guest at the Shaker Heights Public Library on Thursday. Police said the phone was left unattended when it was snatched.

Theft, October 19 — Someone stole a bicycle from a guest at the Shaker Heights Public Library on Van Aken Boulevard. The mountain bike was locked before it was stolen, police said.

Theft from Motor Vehicle, October 21 — Equipment was stolen from a vehicle parked on Maynard Road overnight. The vehicle was unlocked, police said.
