Delivery Driver Assaulted In Shaker Heights: Police
The driver said armed men attacked him and then stole property from a local business.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Armed men overpowered a delivery truck driver on Tuesday, stealing property and damaging the interior of Swerve Grille. The assault happened Tuesday morning, according to Shaker Heights Police reports.
Investigators are still looking into the incident. Patch will update this story when Shaker Heights Police provide additional details on the case.

The rash of thefts from unlocked cars continued this week. Victims also had their whole car stolen.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, August 17 — Someone stole equipment from an unlocked car parked on Lee Road, police said.

Theft, August 17 — A wallet was stolen from a person visiting Shaker Heights High School on Friday. Police said the wallet was "unsecured" at the time of the theft.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, August 16 — An Orange Village resident had personal property taken from their vehicle while it was parked on Van Aken Boulevard on Thursday. Police said the car was unlocked at the time of the theft.
Grand Theft Auto, August 14 — A 2015 Chrysler 200 was stolen off Ingleside Road on Tuesday. The car was unlocked, police said. The vehicle is silver and has a license plate that reads HCW4851.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, August 14 — Personal property was taken from a car parked in the 3000 block of Avalon Road. The theft happened during the nighttime hours.
Theft from Motor Vehicle, August 14 — Prowlers hit an unlocked car on Chadbourne Road, stealing personal property from the vehicle.
