District Weekends Set To Kick Off In Shaker Heights
Starting Jan. 11, the city is inviting residents to get to know local businesses and members of the community.
SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — The city's new monthly District Weekends will kick off Jan. 11 in the Van Aken neighborhood. Attendees will get to meet area merchants, get to know their neighbors and get a better feel for their community.
The Jan. 11 event, which is being called "Girls Night Out", will feature live entertainment, free chair massages, coffee, wine and more. Shaker Heights a capella group Nightingale will perform. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Juma Gallery & Brew at Juma are the official hosts for the evening, they're located at 20100 Chagrin Boulevard.
On Jan. 13, as part of the inaugural District Weekends, there will be a Fitness & Wellness day on Van Aken Boulevard. That event will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be hosted by New Balance, 20140 Van Aken. During the event, there will be a one-mile run, yoga-based stretching and more.
