Eric Juli Named Shaker Heights High Principal

The Shaker Heights Schools announced the next leader of the high school on Friday.

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH —Eric Juli has been named the next principal of Shaker Heights High School.

The district announced Juli's hiring on Friday. Juli was plucked from a field of 75 candidates. He signed a two-year contract with annual salary of $134,981.

“I am humbled and honored to be selected as the next principal of Shaker Heights High School,” Juli said. “I love this community. As a Shaker parent and now as a Shaker principal, I am invested in the success of all our students. I look forward to building relationships across our community as we work together to address student equity, improve student learning, and prepare all students for their futures in our rapidly changing world.”

Juli will begin his role as principal this summer. He is currently the head of school at the Design La Early College High School in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Prior to arriving in Cleveland, Juli worked for the Lawrence (Massachusetts) Public Schools, serving in a variety of administrative capacities.

Over the next weeks, Julie will work with interim Principal David Glasner on a high school-leadership transition plan for the 2019-2020 school year.

“Mr. Juli excelled among a strong field of diverse candidates,” said Interim Superintendent, Stephen M. Wilkins. “We are excited to welcome Eric Juli as our next high school principal and member of the Shaker team. We are excited for his leadership as we take the high school to new levels of excellence in the academics, arts and athletics matched in the International Baccalaureate framework.”

Juli is a Shaker Heights resident and the father of two Shaker Heights Schools students.
