The Van Sweringen Demonstration Homes: A Centennial Walking Tour

Shaker Library and the City’s Landmark Commission merge history and technology in a fun, informative afternoon learning about Shaker’s landmarked Van Sweringen Demonstration Homes. Local historian Ken Goldberg will lead a one-hour, 1½-mile walking tour while sharing his expertise on the architectural treasures of the community! Bring your smartphone to use the free ClevelandHistorical mobile app. (Paper maps and info will be provided, as well.) Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

Following a brief introduction, drive or carpool to the starting point at the Lynnfield Road Rapid Station. In inclement weather, take a “virtual” tour.

Reserve your place online.
